How many sessions will I need to see real results?

While some treatments like Dermal Fillers and Neurotoxins show results almost immediately or within two weeks, most of our regenerative services work on a "biological clock."

  • Microneedling & IPL: For concerns like acne scarring, sun damage, or skin tightening, we typically recommend a series of 3–6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. This aligns with your skin’s natural 30-day cell turnover cycle.

  • Body Shaping & Contouring: For Radiofrequency Body Shaping or Endolift, results develop gradually over 1–3 months as your body builds new collagen and metabolizes treated areas.

Can I use my HSA/FSA for aesthetic treatments or Weight Loss?

Generally, purely cosmetic procedures (like Botox for wrinkles or Chemical Peels) are not HSA/FSA eligible. However, there are two important exceptions at Bellus Medical:

  • Medical Weight Loss Management: If you are being treated for a diagnosed medical condition (such as obesity or hypertension), your Weight Loss Management program and associated labs are often eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from our providers.

  • Therapeutic Procedures: Treatments like IPL for Acne or PRF for Large Joint Injections may be eligible if they are treating a specific medical symptom or injury rather than a purely aesthetic concern.

Tip: We recommend checking with your specific plan administrator, as we can provide the necessary medical documentation if your treatment meets their "medical necessity" criteria.
